Write an essay about your life.   Describe the challenges you have overcome, things you want to change, plans, goals, holiday adventures, volunteer habits, study techniques and wishful thinking.  Let the resume writer know who you are.  This exercise helps you see the many facets of your life and gives the resume writer the opportunity to cull from this information the WOW factor that will allow the future employer see your unique qualities.


You will see that a resume is not just a job description of previous and current jobs, but rather it is a description of how well a person has performed his/her job description.  The resume should possess the WOW factor that has the future employer interested in doing an interview.

 

Resumes are not one size fits all.  A resume should have one particular job/position in mind.  The way the resume writer slants the resume will be toward the job you desire most.
